Is Find a Grave template valid to include in a Wikipedia article?66.234.33.8 (talk) 23:44, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Yes, see Template:Findagrave for details. It is typically added as an external link at the end of the page. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:21, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Question

On {{Infobox NFL player}} in the parameter nfl= how do you figure out the webpage url for the player on NFL.com? Baseball Watcher 02:56, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

I've added a workaround for that. For example, if you want to link to LeSean McCoy's NFL.com page (who just so happened destroyed your Cowboys last night), you use |nflnew=leseanmccoy/79607. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:58, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
It really been a depressing weekend from the Rangers loosing to the Cowboys loosing, but thank you. Baseball Watcher 03:11, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
No problem, if you ever need a pick-me-up, just let me know and I'll talk about the blowout losses the Cowboys have endured against the Eagles the past few seasons. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:12, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

He's baaaack... – Muboshgu (talk) 23:42, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Blocked for two weeks. If he starts edit warring again after two weeks, he'll face an indefinite block. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:12, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Lions Player Brandon McDonald

I uploaded a picture of this guy to Commons; it happened to have the exact file name as a low-quality picture that is on Wikipeida. My image does not appear; apparently files on Wikipedia trump those on Commons when they have the same file name? I tried to get the file name changed in Commons; the request was denied. Now I am trying to get the old photo on Wikipedia deleted. Any other ideas? Thanks, Jeffrey Beall (talk) 17:05, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks a million for helping with this. Jeffrey Beall (talk) 19:37, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Talk pages

Do you mean to say that I cannot even remove my own messages from another user's talk page? I am not arguing the point with you, but that seems very strange to me. In this particular case, I removed my message in order to attempt to bring that conflict to an end, rather than spreading it to multiple pages. Obviously, it was not successful, since the anon. posted a nasty message afterward, anyway. I just want the matter to come to a close. It sickens me. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 02:39, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

If the user whose talk page you posted on has replied already, it is generally a bad idea to remove your messages. You are able to strikeout your comments, as a way to redact your statements, however, if you so choose, per WP:REDACT. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:43, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
At this point, I think it is a moot point, as my goal was not achieved. But thanks for the suggestion. ---RepublicanJacobiteTheFortyFive 02:50, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

This is Josh

Thank you at least someone can respect wishes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.83.199.78 (talk) 03:15, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Cheers Eagles247. I was unhappy doing an indefinite block at request of the user, which is different for blocking for a wikibreak. The fact that Josh logged in and compromised his account seems to be the best solution to all the situations - he's blocked, he didn't get blocked under a cloud and no harm came to the encyclopedia. All's well that end's well. WormTT · (talk) 08:59, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
No problem to both of you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 21:36, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

The Next Star, Charlie

Hello Eagles247, I see you have deleted this image, File:MELISSA-on-THE-NEXT-STAR.jpg. I had uploaded that image, and I notice now that I had not provoided good enough references for it. I would like it if you would revert the deletion so I can upload the image again, and provoid it with better resources and references. Also, next time, I would appreciate it if you give me some notice before just deleating the image, as that is what most users do here on Wikipedia. Thank you for your time, Monkeys 9711 (talk) 21:12, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Please see WP:F. As I do not remember what exactly led to the image's deletion, I can only ask that you read Wikipedia's non-free image use policy before uploading non-free images in the future. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:59, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Well, well

Guess who's back? They left a nice little note on my page and I kindly dropped them a warning. Apparently s/he got a little angry after I reverted an edit they made to LaDainian Tomlinson yesterday. Figured I'd let you know since you were the blocking admin the first time around. -- The Writer 2.0 Talk 11:57, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Sorry I couldn't get to this earlier, but it appears that the IP has stopped editing for now. Please let me know if they continue again. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:01, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

request

I just cleaned up the article Robby Mignardi and in doing so, I noticed that somebody created an article named Rob Mignardi today. These are the same people. Any chance you can merge the two? His WP:COMMONNAME appears to be Robby, so that should probably be where the article is.--Giants27(T|C) 19:32, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

I have manually merged the content from Rob Mignardi to Robby Mignardi per WP:MERGE. Rob Mignardi is now a redirect to Robby Mignardi. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:14, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. For some reason, I thought it required some administrator action to merge the histories, but I guess not. Thanks again!--Giants27(T|C) 03:11, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
That's only for histmerges (i.e. cut-and-paste moves). Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:38, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

The NFL Draft Scout says that he was projected to be a 2-3 rounder on NFLDraftScout.com [1] It says in the infobox that his projected round is 7, but below the combine and pro day results it says 2-3 round. If I'm wrong about that because it was an earlier projection then I accept that. I'm just based what I wrote on that. User:DMC511 (talk) 1510, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

It says it was from 2008, but I guess you could add that before his senior season he was projected to be drafted in the 2-3 round. Eagles 24/7 (C) 15:36, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

I disagree with your decision to delete the Victoria Duffield article again in September 2011 simply because of a decision that was made in October 2010. At the time it was almost a year since that previous decision was made and since the original deletion she has had success in Canada, including airplay on major market stations as well as having music videos in heavy rotation on MuchMusic. Any decision to remove it should be up for a new review. Basing a deletion on an old review would lead to several articles being deleted. i.e. at one point the article for the group LMFAO was up for deletion. 98.111.14.185 (talk) 23:00, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Nothing in the article was added that was different from the original article up for deletion in October 2010. If new information comes out (such as featured articles in the media about her or charting per WP:BAND), then the article can stay. The difference between this artist and LMFAO is that LMFAO has had featured articles written about the group, as well as charted songs. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:02, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
