Untitled[edit]

The text in the history section was a blatant cut-and-paste from the station's history site. I removed it.Blueboy96 23:01, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: as you have not requested a change.
If you want to suggest a change, please request this in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
Please also cite reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to any article. - Arjayay (talk) 15:46, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Flanagan[edit]

Flanagan worked for the station under the name Bryce Williams. This should be noted in the article. (This has been confirmed in multiple media stories about the murders). 68.146.52.234 (talk) 05:01, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, @68.146.52.234. I have that detail to the WDBJ article. Unsure why you state “Maybe someone with editing privilege…” when there is no reason—at least from what I can see—that you could have not made that edit yourself. --SpyMagician (talk) 05:24, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

From the instructions at the template:

  • This template is for articles which involve an article about an evolving current event which is either changing rapidly or about which understanding is rapidly evolving. This is an advisory to readers that the article may be incomplete and subject to change. Use of this template without indicating the topic or article that it is related to may result in prompt removal of this template.
  • As an advisory to editors, it may also be used in those occasions that many editors (perhaps a hundred or more) edit an article on the same day, for example, in the case of natural disasters, the death of celebrities, or other breaking news.
  • It is not intended to be used to mark an article that merely has recent news articles about the topic; if it were, hundreds of thousands of articles would have this template.
  • Generally it is expected that this template and its closely related templates will appear on an article for perhaps a day or two, occasionally several days.
  • If you desire that an article be noticed as a topic about or related to a significant current event, see Wikipedia:How the Current events page works.

I don't think this article satisfies any of these criteria. Our understanding of the incident is not rapidly changing today, and there are not hundreds of editors editing the page. Therefore, per the third point, we don't mark it simply because there are recent news articles about the topic, and I have removed this temaplate.
