Real life parallel[edit]

The Sydney 2000 Paralympics had a similar event (The Paralympics being the global equivalent held just after the Olympics in the same venues).

The Spanish ID basketball team was found to be not mentally challenged. It was within the rules to have one or two not very mentally handicapped players, but actually 10 of the 12 were all normal-functioners.

They got the gold medal, winning the final 87-63 over Russia; apparently, they got all intense and slap down, really going at those mentally-handicapped types.

Then it's like. Why? There is no prize money in the Paralympics. And it can't be for pride, you can't tell people about that, that you were in the Paralympics...

So why? Anyway, they were busted and stripped of their medals and new rules were introduced to prevent this from happening again.

The above comment is plauged with errors. The paralympics is held after the olympics in the same venues competed in by "differently abled" athletes, such those in wheelchairs, the blind, amputees. Removal of Trivia[edit]

I'm removing the Trivia section because, well, this is an encyclopedia. Encyclopedias don't have trivia sections in their articles.

If someone feels the controversy between South Park and this movie is worthy of inclusion in this article, they're free to add it in a Controversy section. While most news articles relating to that event appear to be archived, there's one from CTV here that's likely be a valid reference. As far as I'm concerned, it was a creative coincidence with the 'controversy' fabricated from a bunch of ' he said/she said ' prattle...not really noteworthy. But it did get the tabloids in a tivvy for about a month, so an interested editor may want to incorporate it into the articles.
