Does anyone know why both IDW (as mentioned in this article) and Marvel (not mentioned here) have published these comics simultaneously? Here are the Marvel versions:[1][2]FunkMonk (talk) 01:48, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, these collections escaped my attention. I'll add a mention of them on the article. For what it's worth, these are collections of Dark Horse's now out-of-print colorized versions published under Classic Star Wars, and have little to do with the more archival IDW collections. However, the IDW versions were published in 'cooperation' with Marvel, so maybe this is why. UpdateNerd (talk) 08:36, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, makes sense, but still odd, haha. The IDW versions are in black and white? I only noticed because I wanted to buy the reprints, but saw there were two different options. And good work with the article, by the way! FunkMonk (talk) 10:25, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! The IDW collections present the comics as they originally appeared: the dailies are b&w, and the Sunday strips are full color. The plot features more recapping, but since Williamson contributed to the Classic SW reprints, I recommend reading both variations if you have the time!
