Edit to "Spoiler effect"

The current section reads:

Donald Trump has said that Kennedy's candidacy is "great for MAGA, but the Communists will make it very hard for him to get on the Ballot. Expect him, and her, to be indicted any day now, probably for Environmental Fraud! He is Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, not mine. I love that he is running!" and "He is going to be taking votes from Crooked Joe Biden, which would be a great service to America."

At the end, it should be added: Trump later backtracked, however, and accused Kennedy of being a "Democrat plant" and saying that voting for him would be a "wasted protest vote".

What is up with the bright red for Nevada, South Carolina, etc on the ballot access map?

They gray-ish red is meant to denote states where a has petition failed or been restarted in some way. The RFK campaign has restarted petition drives in AZ, GA, and SC, and its petition has been rejected in NV. Basically like starting at 0, like the other gray states. @Longestview Can we source that the petitions have been restarted or rejected.

Last I heard, there were only just efforts to try to get his petition invalidated by DNC partisan groups.

Update to Spoiler section

More has came out on the spoiler stuff that needs to be mentioned.

1. Candidate Donald J Trump went on a rant via multiple posts on Truth Social against RFK jr, referring to him as a Democrat plant recently.

2. RFK Jr. has fired back with accusing Biden of being a spoiler.

2a. Funnily enough, going by the 20k Zogby poll that was conducted and the definition according to Wiktionary (sister project to Wikipedia) of spoiler "A competitor, unable to win themselves, who spoils the chances of another’s victory. ", Biden does fit this definition in this case.

Strictly speaking the rule is that when the Electoral College meets, they must issue certificates for a presidential candidate, and a vice-presidential candidate not from the same state as the presidential candidate. Since we have never had this happen, I don't know what they would do, but presumably they would be constitutionally barred from certifying both candidates as winners. There is no law that prevents them from appearing on state ballots as a ticket. BD2412 T 16:06, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

The "Political positions" section is getting pretty long, and can probably be spun off into a separate page, like it is for other political candidates. I believe that they should clarify in the Democracy section that when RFK Jr did not unambiguously state that Biden was definitely a larger threat to democracy, but rather he stated that he could make a case for Biden being a larger threat to democracy. This is something that has constantly been taken out of context, and it is shameful that this has passed the scrutiny of Wikipedia's most trustworthy editors who are obligated to attempt to be without bias as much as possible. laganrat (talk) 21:45, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

 Not done: Reliable sources do not describe this as ambiguous, please see the citation. The title is RFK Jr. argues that Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than Trump, and he clearly states he thinks Biden is a bigger threat in this part:

He added that if he had to label one a greater threat to democracy than the other, he’d choose Biden because he feels the president has been “weaponizing the federal agencies” against his opponents.
