'[ɾ] (..) may sound more like a "d" to the foreigner's ear'[edit]
I believe this statement should be more specific. Speakers of English, Sicilian or certain German dialects may hear [ɾ] as [d] but most of the world's languages do not flap their d's.
Maybe something like '[ɾ] (..) may sound more like a "d" to English speakers' would be better. Yeowe (talk) 23:01, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
