"Most titles"[edit]

Worcester was awarded a league "co-championship" in 2018 because the playoffs ran late due to weather. If you count a "co-championship" as ½, then Nashua has 4 and Worcester has 3½. If you count both "co-champions" as 1, then the two named clubs both have 4. You might also count "co-champion" as a fiction meriting nothing. I have provided this detail in the Infobox under "Most titles" and an anonymous Worcester fan has removed it. 2024 rules changes[edit]

I observe that Futures League games now use a placed runner in extra innings. Also, a field umpire appears to have a pitch timer on his belt. I can't find a citation, either in the news or on the league website, of these rules changes. Related questions that come to mind:

Is the placed runner the league's new tactic to avoid ultra-long games that might inhibit college coaches from sending players to the league?
If so, has the league dropped the Home Run Derby?
Are games no longer limited by rule to 10 innings?
