Wow, he's a pretty good kicker for someone who's 2002 years old. 203.87.179.138 (talk) 08:00, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

longest kick[edit]

Quote from the main page: His 68 yard field goal, which is historically preserved on both game film and DVD, is the 2nd longest kick of all time and the longest ever without the use of kicking tee.

what is the 1st longest kick of all times (with the kicking tee) ? there are no references on this statement, i would like very much to know how many yard the actual record is.

The longest successful field goals on all levels of organized American football:

(NAIA)---69 yards by Ove Johansson, Abilene Christian University versus East Texas State on October 16, 1976 in a 17-0 win at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene using a 2 inch block tee (legal at the time).

(HIGH SCHOOL)---68 yards by Dirk Borgognone of Reno (Nevada) High School versus Sparks High School on September 27, 1985 in a 34-14 win at Sparks High School in Sparks, Nevada using a 2 inch block tee (legal at the time).

(AMATEUR)---68 yards by Fabrizio Scaccia of Port St. Lucie (Florida) on March 29, 2009 without the use of a tee.

(NCAA-Division 1)--- 67 yards by Russell Erxleben of Texas University versus Rice on October 1, 1977 in a 72-15 win using a 2 inch block tee

67 yards by Steve Little of Arkansas University versus Texas University on October 15, 1977 in a 13-9 loss using a 2
                    inch block tee
67 yards by Joe Williams of Wichita State versus Southern Illinois University on October 21, 1978 in a 33-7 win using a
                    2 inch block tee

(NCAA-Division 2)--- 67 yards by Tom Odle Fort Hayes State versus Washburn University on November 5, 1988 in a 22-14 win using a 2 inch block

                    tee

(NFL)---63 yards by Tom Dempsey of the New Orleans Saints versus the Detroit Lions on November 8, 1970 in a 17-15 win.

63 yards by Jason Elam of the Denver Broncos versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 25, 1998 in a 37-24 win.
65 yards by Ola Kimrin of the Denver Broncos versus the Seattle Seahawks on August 29, 2002 in a 31-0 win in pre-season which
negated any longest NFL kick record

(NCAA-Division 3)---62 yards by Paul Hickert of Murray State versus Eastern Kentucky on October 29, 1986 in a 31-24 win using a 1 inch block
