Perhaps move to Africana: The title is Africana: The Encyclopedia of the African and African-American Experience, not "Encyclopedia Africana". dab(𒁳) 14:57, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Difference between the desk reference and the five volume set[edit]
I think the desk reference is intended to be on topics from African American diaspora, with brief mentions of the most important African topics, so the coverage of African topics is pared down. I think the intention has always been to publish an encyclopedia on all Africana topics. So, the bold title should just be Africana, not the title of the desk reference. I'm going to look for some sources to sort this out because I'm a little confused about the difference. futurebird (talk) 16:10, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
