Hubel and Wiesel Cruelty to Cats[edit]

Shouldn't there be some mention in the article about the cruelties conducted by Hubel and Wiesel in their hundreds, if not thousands, of experiments on felines, both adults and kittens, in pursuit of science? Their experiments are no longer permitted by modern scientists because of the cruelties that were exuded under the guise of research, prior to modern standards of humanity being applied. Many of their experiments were downright cruel, and obviously destructive to the animals they experimented with, as they freely inserted electrodes and other electrical devices inside the animals brains. Many of the animals were vegetables afterwards. Hubel was prolific, and used to have all of his experiments and papers posted for download until he passed away, but he had literally hundreds of papers posted for free download, and they were almost all about cats and kittens. This article would not be very accurate or truthful, if that information continues to be omitted. Stevenmitchell (talk) 23:23, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
