Appointed, not nominated[edit]

I just wanted to note that the CDC Director is a Senior Executive Service position and not a presidentially nominated one, so Fitzgerald takes office immediately as of July 7. It would thus be more precise to say she was "appointed" rather than "nominated". (I have a COI so I'm being careful and not making the change myself.) John P. I agree. Otherwise, someone else would have approved the nomination before she assumed the Director's role. I am correcting the text. MaynardClark (talk) 19:03, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

Could a better, more 'individual' photo of Dr. Fitzgerald be found? MaynardClark (talk) 18:08, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Also, her CDC official portrait is out, though this seems to be the best quality version at the moment: [2] John P. Sadowski (NIOSH) (talk) 20:32, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox Data and Biodata[edit]

Does she have a middle name? a birthdate? an educational history? an early childhood? parents? siblings? a family? MaynardClark (talk) 02:20, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

disgraced?[edit]

Seems a bit lacking in professionalism to declare someone "disgraced" in the opening page, and to have "trump appointed" in the same sentence seemingly for no reason other than to associate her with Donald "trump" and disgrace in the same sentence. 174.255.136.194 (talk) 23:54, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
