"Linguistics does not distinguish Béarnese from Gascon" .... "these languages form a homogeneous whole"[edit]
Both of these claims need support. A solid source or two would do for the Béarnese=Gascon equivalence. The homogeneity claim needs either very careful rewording or especially strong sources, as it's contradicted by the Atlas linguistique de la France, as well as everything known about language variation in general, dialectology in general, and Romance (including French) dialectology specifically.
