Borong is a Papuan language spoken in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Dialects are Kosorong and Yangeborong.

Phonology[edit]

Borong has twenty consonants.^[2]

^ ^a ^b ^c /p, t, k/ are always aspirated [pʰ, tʰ, kʰ] syllable-initially.
^ /ŋ/ is the only consonant that appears word-finally.

Borong has five short vowels, five long vowels, and a variety of vowel sequences.^[2]

Then they killed the pig, cooked and cut it into pieces, shared the pig and teh taros and gave them to eat. They ate as much as they cound and left the leftovers and went home. That's it.
