Welcome to Wales[edit]

I had seen it briefly and meant to comment but forgot to be honest. I've now left a comment though. Thanks, Welshleprechaun 23:34, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Emsley Carr Mile[edit]

Thanks! I was a little bit worried that my fiddling had actually made it a bit worse! It might be a bit more daunting for new editors to update now, but hopefully this problem is offset by the visual benefit to your everyday reader. I'm really glad you made an effort on the article after I'd done a bit on the London Grand Prix. I was very surprised to see that the mile was held right on my very doorstep in 2007, I had no idea!

Also, good work on the Roger Bannister running track last year – I find articles develop in a much more satisfying way when they are created in a comprehensive manner. In fact, both articles have remained practically unchanged since you created them – a sign that most readers actually find the information they are looking for. Cheers. Cardiff Meetup[edit]

Heya seth

I'm looking at trying to organise a cardiff meetup and was wondering whether you would be interested in attending such an event.

Let me know.

The Cardiff Story[edit]

Hi Seth, Just wondering why you've removed the "The" from the The Cardiff Story? Looking at the website, the museum's name is given as The Cardiff Story everywhere, including its logo and its address. Only the website domain appears to differ (cardiffstory.com). The major media channels also cite it as The...[1][2][3]. Welshleprechaun 12:03, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK review: Cardiff town walls[edit]

I have just reviewed your article Cardiff town walls for the Did you know ...? column. There is a slight problem in that you are required to review another DYK entry before yours can be accepted. If you have already done so, please indicate which it was at Template:Did you know nominations/Cardiff town walls, and I will give your nomination the tick it deserves. If not, please review one, and then your fact will likewise be accepted. --Stemonitis (talk) 16:11, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Morgraig Castle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ogmore (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:02, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there's currently a discussion (well there are only two comments) at Talk:Cardiff Castle about whether the logo is worth keeping. As you're the uploader I thought you might want to make your opinion on the matter heard. Nev1 (talk) 23:13, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that User:Nikkimaria has removed the hook for this article from the Did You Know prep citing close paraphrasing concerns (see the nomination template). You may want to have a look and fix anything that needs fixing fairly soon so it can go back into a prep set that will appear on St. David's Day. File copyright problem with File:Queen Street Arcade, Cardiff (1987).jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Queen Street Arcade, Cardiff (1987).jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Kelly hi! 20:20, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:70-09-10 programme.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:70-09-10 programme.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 15:38, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. New Wales Coast Path WikiProject[edit]

I see you're a member of WikiProject Wales and have contributed to Welsh articles. There's a new project, Llwybrau Byw!|Living Paths! under development which you might be able to contribute to. Lonely Planet rated the coast of Wales "the best region on Earth" in 2012, yet there is a very low number of articles on the history and culture of places along the Coastal Path and the many and various activities and attractions. This promises to be an exciting project as it gathers momentum with many Users joining in. Let's make this WikiProject, like the path itself, the best on earth! Disambiguation link notification for February 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fredrik Lindgren (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Help me![edit]

Help me with Cardiff Arms Park.

The problem is that the multiple image template of images under Early history of the site section are being "pushed" down to the bottom of the second "Infobox stadium" for some reason and this too pushes down "The 1934 new North Stand, rugby ground, Cardiff Arms Park" image too. It has never done this before. The only thing that I can think is that the template has changed???? If I have not explained it very well, please let me know.

Pushing images downward is a normal occurence with infoboxes, and that is why infoboxes are minimized as much as possible with concise information. Too much infobox makes text harder to read and adds to reader eyestrain. I used {{Collapsed infobox section begin}} to fix it. – Paine Ellsworth CLIMAX! 19:54, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Note: The images will be pushed down only if the first two iboxes are expanded. – Paine

Llandaff Cathedral[edit]

Greetings Seth, having been a student in Cardiff & an admirer of the Cathedral, I wonder if I could be cheeky and ask if you could advise if there are any documents relating to damage & repairs following the Great Storm of 1703? Regards JRPG (talk) 19:05, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

June 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of tallest buildings and structures in Cardiff may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • | This building is the tallest building in Cardiff to the top of the roof (architectural feature}.
  • |}
