The American Nationalist Party[edit]

You deleted my article on this political party. It is not a company, advertisement or about a particular person. I see no reason why it cant be used. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Manicman878 (talkcontribs) 23:21, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted my page on "Macism", can you send me my material so I can expand on it. I need the information that I already submitted. Also, why delete it? It is real, are you someone that it applies to?

I'M NOT FINISHED YET, PLEASE STOP DELETING MY PAGE! —Preceding unsigned comment added by EHuman875 (talkcontribs) 04:35, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You should create the page on your own userpage or keep previewing and adding to it until you feel it is ready to be published to Wikipedia. Editors will quickly mark short and stumpy articles for deletion if there is little material to warrant their existance. --RoyalFool (talk) 04:41, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

--The Pro Wrestling Chicago page was deleted before I could put up all the links to legitimate promotions in the Chicagoland area, along with a huge article on the area's history, dating back to the 1800's! I can't believe that there could have been any form of advertising, like the clip said about the article. It is not possible to advertise when you are not selling anything but rather are contributing to a vast data base some information that some people like to read about. I do not understand why at the very least there could not have been given some time to put up the article as proof that it is an article about history. To make matters even more confusing, the computer which we use has its IP banned and we cannot figure out two things. They are: how can you sell history? Meaning, history based articles that were to be provided for free as a part of the Wikipedia library, and also why not at least prove any wrongdoing or point any being done? This does not make sense. This isn't meant as any type of disrespect, but other articles were pulled as well, and all of the information that was to be posted is based in historical fact.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.162.86.56 (talk) 07:16, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conra[edit]

what about this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FutureRP there are no Source, no reference, how this can be called 'Notable'? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dark heart 389 (talkcontribs) 21:55, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

and also this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopia_(online_game) it clearly said " This section does not cite any references or sources. Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources (ideally, using inline citations). Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. (January 2008)" why do you keep that page?

The deletion is not "because it's a game". It's because you haven't shown that this gaming website meets the notability standards for websites set out at WP:WEB, and you haven't cited reliable sources to show the site's notability. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:38, 16 April 2009 (UTC) How to show you that website meets the notability ? Why don't you just open the official website at www.conra.cn?

is this reliable enough to show site's notablility? http://best-rpg.com/reviews/show/260 http://www.conra.cnDark heart 389 (talk)

hi why you delete my page about Conra? is it because conra is about game? what about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revelation:_Lands_of_Kaldana or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Materia_Magica or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medievia and alot more. Why you keep such pages, but not for Conra?

and if article about game is must be deleted, you should delete all things in here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_text-based_MMORPGs. please reply —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dark heart 389 (talkcontribs) 21:27, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your message. Im new in Wikipedia. I added that article because its about an important free software referent and GNU hacker of latin america and because other important figures of the free software foundation as Fernanda G. I dont understand why you have deleted this page. This may seem generic term but it is part of IIT Bombay. It has amazing history and its a non profit organization. PlanetTogether[edit]

Hey, I have been trying to create a page for PlanetTogether, and have worked very hard to find references, which I now have, and also to create a completely neutral article.

I was wondering specifically what problems you had with my entry, and if you can help me create a successful entry? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kagej (talkcontribs) 15:29, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • There's nothing in the article to indicate that the product is in any way notable, and therefore nothing to show that the article is anything other than an ad for the product. The sources cited are either themselves ads, PR entries, or blogs. See WP:V for a discussion of reliable independent sourcing. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:37, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

the Soft Pack[edit]

Hello, I am the manager of a band called the soft pack and you wont allow me to create a wiki for them. This isn't for advertising purposes but strictly for fans to gain a further insight into their history. Please can you allow for me to do this? Thank you.

  • Not unless you can show that they meet the notability standards of WP:BAND by citing reliable independent sources per WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:06, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok... they have internationally toured, released a 10 track EP on a big independent 1928 records NA, supported internationally acclaimed bands such as bloc party, notable press:http://s466.photobucket.com/albums/rr26/thesoftpack/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanatc (talkcontribs) 11:23, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    • Good. The next step would be to write an article that cites reliable independent sources to reflect that, and to write it in neutral language and not as advertising. The last article was pure PR, with copy like "a refreshingly stripped-down, revved-up, no-frills brand of raucous rock and roll that, for all of its nods to the past, sounds, miraculously enough, sharply modern yet effortlessly cool, cutting a swathe through anything else out there in the process." You're going to have to eliminate all the promotional language. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:32, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure.... can I have the old copy back and I'll edit it accordingly. Apologies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeanatc (talkcontribs) 11:38, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Independent sources[edit]

Hello Nawlin, thank you for answering my doubt. I just wanted to know if the page philatino.com or other pages that have links and information to it are an independent source that I could use for posting my article about philatino, . Or publicity of philatino in philatelic journals (if i can scan the journal and where should I upload the pictures). Thank you!

Sylvia. 200.122.15.199 (talk) 17:35, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, philatino.com is not an *independent* source. Please read WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:36, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Independet sources 2[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherrystone_Auctions This article does not have independent sources. I'm trying to create an article but I can't because all the sources that i find are wrong and now there is an article of philatelic auctions without independent sources and nobody has never deleted it. Please answer my question, can I use as source other pages that have philatino information?? Or publicity of philatino in philatelic journals. Thank you.

Sylvia. Sylvia.Plath07 (talk) 18:17, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    • For the last time -- why don't you read WP:V, which explains sourcing in detail, rather than asking me the same question over and over? I can't answer whether you can use "other pages" if I don't know what they are. PLEASE READ WP:V. And I've deleted Cherrystone Auctions. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:19, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

THANK YOU for your patience and your kindness... Of course I READ the WP:V a hundred times but it's not clear about using the webs as an resourse, and as I told you before english is not my lenguage and its my second day using wikipedia. So, thanks for being such a good manager, if you look, you deleted my article 5 times in 2 days, and I modified the text to look better, I didn't post the same text. But this page Cherrystone was in wikipedia for more than 2 years before someone deleted it for first time, are you kidding me??? Again, THANK YOU. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sylvia.Plath07 (talkcontribs) 18:29, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm requesting oversight for all edits made by that editor as we speak. Tonywalton Talk 20:08, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All edits by him now have now been oversighted (including deleted edits), plus those by User:164.58.69.2, his (and his target's) school IP. The IP has trolled for his password before, with posts including his real name (again, oversighted). Any more from that IP and they get a long schoolblock, with the possibility of contacting the school administration. That lot was just nasty. Tonywalton Talk 21:06, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion[edit]

Hi. :) I wanted to ask your opinion on something. You had reverted some blanking on article I came to today following an OTRS letter. Article, Oxford English Limited. I reblanked, because the material was unsourced, mostly nonsense and troublesome (in my reading) under BLP, with allegations like "The sexual politics of the group was bizarre. One female undergraduate had to organise a complaint from the girls at Wadham College regarding the crepuscular activities of its cult leaders" (which certainly smacks of sexual harassment allegations). That material has now been restored twice. I've opened the question at BLPN, here, but since you had at least some familiarity with the article (maybe in a routine reverting unexplained blanking sense, but, still) wanted to ask your opinion. If the material had been added today, I would wonder if it was some kind of April Fool's joke. Since it wasn't, I'm at a loss. Do you have feedback? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 21:32, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It seems like either I caught you at a bad time or you don't have an opinion. :) Oh, well. I don't like playing the WP:BLP card (except with clear vandalism); I'm much more comfortable in the copyright realm these days. But maybe somebody at BLPN will offer feedback. Again, the material is just so bizarre that if it hadn't been placed on March 29th, I'd be looking around for Ashton Kutcher. :) Cheers. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:00, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the late reply. I support your revert and protection of the page. NawlinWiki (talk) 23:49, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. :) We, too, are allowed to have lives. Although an IP editor at my page this morning is questioning my lack thereof. :D (P.S. Thanks for the feedback. I'm still inclined to think this is some kind of joke, but BLPN has been quiet on the matter. :/ I used to participate heavily there before moving over to copyright, which had more dire need. Seems like we have dire need all over.) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:03, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Parakeet day[edit]

I prodded Parakeet day less than half an hour ago and now it's deleted as both CSD#G3 and expired prod. How can it be an expired prod if it's been less than half an hour? Did someone place a CSD tag between the time I prodded it and the time it was deleted?

Not that I really care for reinstating the article for the sake of process; I think Wikipedia is a better place without that article, but I am concerned about deleting prodded articles without letting the full 5-day period lapse. KuyaBriBriTalk 20:41, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Both of spice's 'parent' organisations the Young Foundation and the University of Wales, Newport are both included on wikipedia. Jen Jeniro page deletion[edit]

Hello, Would be possible to have clarification over the deletion of the Jen Jeniro page please? The article was purely factual and did not read like an advertisement in any way. On the 'notability' front, it included quotes from BBC Radio 1 DJs, among other (which, again, isn't promotion, merely an indication of how well a particular record was received - again, purely factual) as well as a full discography. I can see no possible justification against the existence of the page. Thanks, Aled Hughes —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aledramirez (talkcontribs) 14:16, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Civony[edit]

You deleted this page within an hour of it being created before there was even time to post references, supporting articles or such. You posted no revelent info on the talk page. Making a solo call on what you think is revelent isn't the wiki way...it might be your way but it's the wrong way. Terryrayc (talk) 22:25, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh it should also be noted that a quick search found a lot of articles on web based games, I see you are picking and choosing. Terryrayc (talk) 22:27, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for deleting my article NaijaPulse[edit]

  • How is my article different from the [Sturvs]] article
  • Are Sturvs or Twitter not a webpage as well
  • What's 'meaningful' about Sturvs that's not meaningful about NaijaPulse

I'd be glad to have some feedback Thanks Slimchic (talk) 23:17, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

    • You guys deleted it while I was still creating the page, I have several independent reviews and sources to support the page
    • I would think you could at least have waited for me to finish the article so User:Vianello could read before jumping into conclusion that it's not supported by reliable independent sources or doesnt meet notability guidelines.
    • How's one supposed to contribute to the wiki if articles are deleted while it is still being created.
    • Thanks once again Slimchic (talk) 23:33, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heya,

Could you imagine emailing me the content of the page at deletion? I don't normally expect a review recreation of the page for CSD DRVs but an emailed version would make it easier to form an opinion. Thanks! Usrnme h8er (talk · contribs) 23:56, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just wondering why the Kogan Technologies page was deleted? I modelled it on the Sony page, and referenced everything, including positive and negative commentary. Is it possible to get the original content back so I can make appropriate changes? I was contributing to the article so someone may have made some changes to it that were 'advertorial' but I haven't seen them, so not sure where the issues lied. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vushkin (talkcontribs) 09:14, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advise. Thanks for the constructive comments. Can I however get the original content put back as a draft so it can be worked on further? Is that at all possible? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vushkin (talkcontribs) 15:26, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted My First Article[edit]

3 of the four links are to articles written by journalist with references form CEO's of Merchant Cash Advance Companies. This is the same as a reference to an article with the CEO of Bank of America. Only one link goes to an actual company and that is because the information is pertinent and that is where I found the information. I can search elsewhere if you need me to.

The topic is not covered any more than "Adjustable Rate Mortgage" is covered by "Mortgage." That is why there is an article for each one. This is a particular factoring product that is new and the industry is growing. For Wiki to not have this information would be an injustice to people and the reason for its existance.

The information is good information and relevent. I truly beieive this information is important. Please let me know what changes would need to be made in order for this to be worthy of submission.

Thank you for your continued support!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Money Man Florida (talkcontribs) 18:13, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NawlinWiki, the page you deleted wasn't intended to be deleted (note the associated talk page is still there).

Based on discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wine, RonaldMcWendys intended to delete the mainspace redirects to his sub-page. Being a new user, he got confused when trying to edit the redirect, and he instead ended up putting the {{db-author}} tag on his sub-page.

I've been advising him and trying to help him out. Deleting his sub-page was not what he intended. Would you restore User:RonaldMcWendys/Captûre Wines please, and instead delete the two mainspace redirects to that user subpage: Captûre Wines and Capture Wines. Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:06, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Lemon Hill (band)]][edit]

The guidelines specify: "A mere claim of significance, even if contested, may avoid speedy deletion under A7, requiring a full proposed deletion or Article for Deletion process to determine if the article should be included in Wikipedia." I have claimed significance and therefore may avoid speedy deletion, despite your contest. Also, with respect to the first comment, the editor made a mistake in claiming that my article met the criteria for speedy deletion because, "Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is not a criterion for speedy deletion." Give me more time and I will find more sources that demonstrate notability to a reasonable level. The guidelines say that requirement is not specific (rather a rule of thumb), so how I do know what is acceptable? (talk) 01:13, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the article now meets the guidelines. I don't think anyone can consider Florida's largest newspaper to be a non trivial publication, nor a statewide musical competition(talk) 01:30, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of American Liberals[edit]

I deserve a specific explanation for your 'direct attack' of my writing... as well as the junk about 'unverifiable'... did you actually view the links, or just 'click' it out as soon as you saw something you did not like??? In addition, I read what 'fair' is supposed to be about, so you need to clarify what's going on.

By the way, did you see the fair and balanced perspective I offered the reader?

Everything in that article is factual and/or common knowledge, and I referenced specific links, especially the direct link from socialism and communism to the most recent type of American Liberalism in the US. As well as the quote from Rosie O'donnell and Janet N. So what got your goat? —Preceding unsigned comment added by ImaPatriot (talkcontribs) 23:55, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um, you were lightning fast deleting my page... how about the response to WHY your deleted it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by ImaPatriot (talkcontribs) 00:20, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have no idea what you're talking about. Your logs show no deleted article called "American Liberals", nor do I have any record of having deleted such an article, nor is there any history of *anyone* having created such an article. In fact, this account was created just a few hours ago, and I haven't done any editing in that time, until now. NawlinWiki (talk) 04:14, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NawlinWiki you deleted an article today "韩鸿翼" ‎ (A1: Not enough context to identify article's subject: A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject) just curious how you came to the conclusions you did, can you speak the language that the article is wrote in and if not how can you assertain that it fails A1 and/or A7. USAloe[edit]

Hi - I'd like to request a reconsideration for the article on USAloe, a notable company here in Carlsbad. Claude Lewis, mayor of Carlsbad (and my boss), requested the article. The company has been around for 37 years, and is suddenly the fastest growing company in the county. We feel they deserve some recognition.

  • You'll need to find reliable independent sources (see WP:V) showing that the company meets the notability standards of WP:CORP. It's not enough that you or the mayor think the company is notable. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:22, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I believe the links and resources in the article speak for themselves. After the acquisition of the company last year and launch of their new line of products this year, they have become a nationwide phenomenon (and major employer for our community) with no signs of slowing down.

Deletion of Defactory[edit]

Hello Nawlin, you have deleted my first article "Defactory" because of "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". Truthprophecy1992[edit]

Truthprophecy1992 (talk · contribs) came onto the IRC help, claiming that this edit wasn't vandalism, and that they should not have received a 'final warning' for it.

In discussion, it would appear that the editor is trying to do things the right way - so, in spite of their history, I have assumed good faith, removed the warning, and advised them a little on the importance of references.

I hope you won't object to the warning being removed; I do believe that the edit had good intentions. I only removed the final warning - the other is still in place.

I will, of course, try to check on the users future edits.

Thanks for your time, best,  Chzz  ►  19:05, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P.[edit]

I hope I am doing this correctly. As I was typing hangon, and my explanation about Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P., the posting was deleted. I still do not think it should have been deleted. It was not advertising, and merely the history of how Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P. came into being. I am not trying to be difficult, but it seems to a rush to judgment. Georgia Tigers[edit]

It seems that this person is real quick to try and delete whatever he can with out truly looking at what they are deleting, or the criteria for which Wikipedia has put forth. Please Nawlin try to do a good job, and not just delete as many articles as possible. Deleted Page[edit]

Dear NawlinWiki,

You deleted my page on Step3 Consulting. I have been an employee of the company for 13 years but made an honest effort to maintain a neutral point of view. I am not sure at which point you deleted the page – I had started with a section on the company and its history, and then later added a description of the company’s products. When adding the products, I included two independent references, one online and one as reference to an industry publication (I can share a pdf). My colleagues and I interact with thousands of different people every year, and I believe those people would have an interest in looking up additional information on Wikipedia.

I appreciate your perspective and Wikipedia’s view on maintaining a neutral point of view. Could you help me understand how I could improve my article – would the article without the description of the products be less advertising? Thanks for your time. Yergie atl (talk) 19:16, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • An article which starts with "provides its clients with sustainable profitability and performance improvements" and ends with "Customer value and performance requirements guide a Total Quality initiative with the goal of producing zero defects" is not neutral -- which just shows how hard it is to write a neutral article when you have a conflict of interest (see WP:COI). It's hard for me to give pointers -- the whole article appears to be written with an eye towards attracting clients by describing your company's services in the best possible light. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:22, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WHY???[edit]

HE DESERVES HIW OWN ARTICLE.

What's the difference?[edit]

I'm researching web content management and have noticed that there are a lot of places that reference products that are out there (i.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_content_management) and i noticed that another vendor, ektron wasn't listed. so digging a little deeper, i noticed that they didn't have a page so i looked at some of the similar listings and tried to match up the tone of each of them so that it wouldn't come off to be promotional. i.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/sitecore vs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ektron?

is it the references? i hadn't finished the article...but i was planning on finding some great references.

any feedback on this situation would be great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lethanek93 (talkcontribs) 20:11, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, it's the way the article is written. It starts with "committed to providing revolutionary, scalable Web content management and authoring solutions", continues by addressing the reader as "you" (as if the reader were a potential customer), and finishes with "Ektron understands what it takes to make your Internet, intranet or extranet project successful." See WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:00, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rick Fairless[edit]

Can I please have the deleted "Rick Fairless" article back to remove what might be considered "advertisement" and to striclty give factual information on his life and business accomplishments? There are several other pages that mention Rick Fairless: [Texas Hardtails], [Strokers Dallas], [Biker Build-Off], so I think it is worth him having a page of his own to list his accomplishments within the motorcycle industry. It's no different than Paul Teutul Sr. having his own page. Thank you. (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:12, 29 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]
