I usually only write in german, but I will understand englisch as well. If you want to contact me, do this on my page in de.wikipedia.

Please do not blank large sections of articles, as you did with Palomino. If you question information, request sources with the {{fact}} tag. All information in that article is verifiable. Blanking is considered rude and may constitute vandalism. Take your concerns to the talk page if you have significant disagreements. Montanabw(talk) 01:44, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I didn't mean to do this. I only wanted to delete the german interwiki. I don't how I managed to do this, perhaps it was an old Version and I didn't notice. Kersti Nebelsiek 03:05, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, stuff like that happens. Montanabw(talk) 04:02, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FYI I wanted to say THANK YOU for all the work you are doing adding the interwikilinks to the various horse articles. Montanabw(talk) 01:38, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for finding the white horse photo! That was a godsend to the article (too bad we don't have a breed designation on the one used on the camarillo white horse article, bummer) Montanabw(talk) 04:54, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The Camarillo White Horse ist of a scientific Article - I don´t think it's wrong. In the Article they even checked the pedrigee data. But unfortunately without telling the names of the Horses. Kersti Nebelsiek (talk) 19:07, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, a high school kid in Camarillo California actually started the article, didn't do too bad, I chatted with him a bit when he created it, then found some links to the registry and added a little bit more. The "breed" was one guy's dominant white stallion crossed mostly on Morgan and TB mares, but a farm program that ran about 60 years before his descendants sold off all the stock. They are not just white, but have a distinct body type, rather cresty necked, quite muscled. (Probably the Morgan blood) I think now that the breed founder has died, the registry is now also crossing on warmbloods, I can't recall. Like I say, I liked the photo you added, but was it specifically of a "Camarillo" white horse or just a white horse of uncspecified breeding? The link to it wasn't clear, that's all. Montanabw(talk) 21:00, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I reverted your good faith edit. The image you added to the article is not a Hokkaido Pony. Please read the description of Hokkaido Pony on this page and see these images. [1], [2] and [3]. Hokkaido Pony is a small horse. I think it was a mistake by the creator of the image. Regards. Oda Mari (talk) 09:11, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But your other photos in the other breed articles were GREAT! Thank you! Montanabw(talk) 09:32, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In looking now, I see what you mean ... I think I was still sleeping when I did this... ;-( Kersti Nebelsiek (talk) 13:24, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LWS article[edit]

Oh great goddess of photo-finding, can you locate an appropriate photo to lead Lethal white syndrome? I know there are photos of affected foals (taken while still living), but legal-for-wiki photos? If you can find one, please do! Thanks! Montanabw(talk) 00:20, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am searching for it for the german article - but up to now all Photos I found were not free. --Kersti Nebelsiek (talk) 18:13, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like I saw a LWS foal photo in the same vet journal article that contained those white horse photos you found ... but maybe there was different ownership for the various images...not that I'm much help...but good luck! Montanabw(talk) 23:26, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't one - I loadet up all horse photos in this article. --Kersti Nebelsiek (talk) 09:42, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help with German wiki[edit]

This message is on your .de wiki talk page also. Can you compare Cerebellar abiotrophy with http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zerebelläre_Abiotrophie and help us get rid of the tags on the German article? Feel free to ask me any questions about the disease itself, it's a big deal for me (the horse in the photo is mine). Any help appreciated! Thanks! Montanabw(talk) 22:24, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments on the German page. If you can help move over additional information, please help! I had a whole year of German over 20 years ago, so I am worse than useless with this! Montanabw(talk) 02:55, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh great image-fixing goddess?[edit]

Can you figure out how to get the images of the Piber article on de.wiki either into commons (ideally) or at least to en.wiki ? (specifically File:Bundesgestüt Piber logo.svg, and File:Gestuetsbraende oest-ung.png) I am trying to create an article on the Piper stud for en.wiki and would love to have that coat of arms and the other images there that aren't yet in Commons...but I can't read the German well enough to figure out the copyright issues. Can you help? (See what I'm up to here: User:Montanabw/Sandbox2 ) Montanabw(talk) 02:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In "File:Gestuetsbraende oest-ung.png" there is a problem with the license - the License given in the picture is wrong - I think, it is no problem to use it in German Wikipedia, but it is not ok for englisch Wikipedia. The other one is in Commons now. Kersti Nebelsiek (talk) 00:43, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you got the one I wanted the most, so thank you ever so much! Montanabw(talk) 04:00, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wieder was gelernt. Das macht wohl jede Wikipedia ein bißchen anders. Ich freue mich natürlich, wenn jemand meine Artikel so schätzt, daß er sie übersetzt! Kersti Nebelsiek (talk) 20:43, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Stafford (disambiguation), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Stafford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
