  • Hi, Jazzy Lizzy – I liked your additions to the Jonathan Raban article. May I ask about a minor aspect? You may be able to answer right away, whereas I would have to put in research at the library (which is not round the corner, unfortunately). It is just about the dots ... in some sentences of the Raban article. Are they omission dots or are they to be found in the original? Not a matter of life and death, I concede, but to some users of the Raban article it might make a difference (it certainly does to people who may want to quote from the article). Perhaps, if the dots are omnission dots, it is a good idea to enclose them in square brackets […] – then everybody will know what they stand for.
