Welcome![edit]

Hello, Belac1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

You obviously have both an interest in and knowledge of percussion instruments. I look forward hopefully to seeing further contributions in that area, and was interested in your posts at Talk:Tubular bells, even if the decision for now was that the article was right after all. I would even have left the discussion on the talk page to save others reinventing the wheel, but I respect your wish not to. (It remains in the page history obviously, but that's not part of the world wide web for practical purposes.)

Here are some other pages that you might find helpful:

You seem to have the hang of signing your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Great stuff.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

Again, welcome! Andrewa (talk) 20:24, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the welcome! You're right, I am interested in percussion. However, I'm kind of new to contributions of nay kind on Wikipedia, so I'm still learning how everything works. Anyway, after looking around, I discovered that Chimes are scored an octave lower than they register, so it would be written the way the article said, but would sound an octave higher. Since I figured out what was going on, I deleted my post, but I might still go in and make that a little clearer in the article. I think I'll also put my comments back up, as well as some more clarification of what was confusing. Again, thank you for being so welcoming! Belac1 (talk) 21:54, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
