Just so that I know[edit]

Hi. Are you by any chance the same editor who made these and these edits? So you are good at Hebrew IPA? Debresser (talk) 21:09, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

May 2020[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Nardog (talk) 01:26, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for this pronunciation? Wikiacc () 23:38, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted that change, as I am about to do with another unexplained phonetic change by this user. Please add an edit summary and source for any changes to content. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 01:02, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I see that this user has just reverted my reverts, without comment. Please discuss on the talk page of the articles if necessary, and note WP:3RR. You need to justify your changes. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 05:46, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest, as a South African and fluent Afrikaans speaker I too am somewhat concerned with this users edits. No edit summaries, no sources, no indication that they are familiar with the language and a general aversion to discussing fellow editors concerns on their talk page. אבגדהוזחטיכל, please discuss these concerns as a matter of urgency as a lack communication from your side is counterproductive and can result in the termination of your editing privileges. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Language specific IPA keys[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to explain something that might help you in editing here. A lot of the Help:IPA pages are linked to by hundreds (if not thousands) of articles that transcribe individual languages using specific transcription schemes that are explained at these IPA keys. Making changes to the keys can become confusing to readers when the transcriptions aren't also changed or can disruptive if disagreements on transcription conventions are spread out to multiple pages, rather than the language-specific IPA help key discussion page. Because these help pages are so high profile, it's a good idea to discuss changes you have in mind before implementing them to make sure that there is consensus. — Ƶ§œš¹ [lɛts b̥iː pʰəˈlaɪˀt] 20:57, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation changes + recent edits[edit]

Please give sources for the pronunciation changes you're making. In addition, please pay attention to the notices you received above about explaining yourself and using an edit summary. Above all, please respond to your talk page message, acknowledge what people are saying, and engage in discussion. Communication is required. Wikiacc () 04:10, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:59, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
