From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, and Welcome!

If you are here to find out something about me, the best thing to do is look here.

In a former life, I had professional interests in software development. To get an idea, you can poke around here. I am hoping to get the project going again, but only if it can be completed before the first of next month. If you are interested, please look here and drop a note on my talk page.

Meanwhile, a few of my favorite quotes may help.

"Objectivity cannot be equated with mental blankness; rather, objectivity resides in recognizing your preferences and then subjecting them to especially harsh scrutiny — and also in a willingness to revise or abandon your theories when the tests fail (as they usually do)."Stephen Jay Gould

"Stupidity has a certain charm -- ignorance does not"Frank Zappa

"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler" — unknown (sometimes attributed to Albert Einstein)

"Raffiniert ist der Herr Gott, aber boshaft ist Er nicht." - Albert Einstein

(For a fun-but-not-totally accurate translation, go here, and paste this text: Raffiniert ist der Herrgott, aber boshaft ist Er nicht.)

IMHO, this may simultaneously be the most underused, misused and useful tool of all for Wikipedians.
Something to watch out for on Wikipedia is this
Often times, I return here, and click the knot over and over again. It's like a cup of WP:TEA
