I have had a lifelong fascination with strange subjects. One of my earliest library memories was checking out a ghost encyclopedia in middle school. It purported to tell all about how ghosts are in bricked up walls in your house while also throwing in some optical illusions like the wobbly pencil. Latter moved on to the internet as that dawned in the slow baudrate dialup days and things like Art Bell's Coast to Coast.
