I just want to set the record straight here about SourceWatch. One of its senior members, Neoconned correctly advised me to make my comments on wikipedia because he feels quite rightly that I won't be treated fairly on SourceWatch.

I wrote to Bob Burton and Judith Siers-Poisson, who are administrators of Source Watch, regarding outdated information on me and pointing out that it had been used by both supporters of the Iranian regime and activists within the anti-Arab Persian ultra-monarchist opposition to "proove" that I was a member of MI6 or the CIA and was in contact with "anti-Iranian" terrorists. None of this is true or substantiated, but my membership of the Fabian Society, a socialist organisation affiliated to the Labour Party, and my education at the School of Oriental and African Studies was all the "evidence" they needed.

I wrote to Burton and then Siers-Poisson to ask them to remove or change my biography, but they did nothing. I decided to act on my own initiative, initially trying to delete the article and then trying to modify it. For this, I was banned from editing biographical information on me and now you have decided to publish my (now out-dated) home address, presumably to signpost my house to those extremists and encourage them to carry out their threats.

The animosity has been directed towards me due to my human rights work with Ahwazi Arabs, a persecuted Iranian minority group. I am neither famous nor influential and the organisation I chair is considerably smaller than Source Watch. My only qualification to be included on this site is the fact that I was a member of the Young Fabians and that some extremists have written a pack of lies about me.

Source Watch appears to be willing to assist a witch-hunt rather than get on with its work "exposing invisible men". I am an easy target precisely because I am not rich, powerful or influential! A further twist of irony is that I am politically on the left.
