Did you know... that despite having only two players in a three-on-three basketball game, the 2011 USA Women's U18 3x3 Team took a game to overtime, almost winning a medal?

As I have mentioned at the DYK nom I see 3 potential issues with the title of this article. In no particular order; Should it really be "Team"? Or USA? Or "Women's"? I would think the correct title to be consistent with e.g. United States men's national basketball team would be "United States women's 3×3 teams" - Basement12(T.C) 00:44, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Basement12: I note that per the official site for the National team, the name is called "Women's National Team", so for identification purposes, we need to expand it to "United States Women's National Team", and similarly for the Women's World University Games team. In contrast, the official name of the 3x3 team per the official site is "USA 3x3 Teams". Curiously, all teams except for the 3x3 teams have a gender modifier, so I think one is needed, which is why I used "USA Women's 3x3 Teams".
Regarding "teams" versus "team", in the cases of the National team, the R. William Jones Cup Team, and the Pan Am team, each is an individual team. That is also true of the U18, U19 and U16, U17 pairs, but in those cases, I wrote an article about each pair of teams, because they go together. The official page refers to teams, plural, and the detail page summarizes both the Open team and the U18 team, so I chose to write a single article about both teams.
Regarding "Teams" versus "teams", and for that matter "Women's" versus "women's", the terms are capitalized at the Official site in the heading, but I'm fine with whatever MOS suggests, which is probably lower case.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:08, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
