Pink Slips at Disney. But First, Training Foreign Replacements

. - The ... https://www.nytimes.com/.../last-task-after-layoff-at-disney-train-foreign-replacements.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oklahomasoonersbigman (talkcontribs) 19:34, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

This has been discussed. How is this unique to Disney? Why should it be mentioned here, giving undue weight to something that other companies also do? --McDoobAU93 20:47, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Concur with User:McDoobAU93. This is not notable at all. Outsourcing has been commonplace throughout the Fortune 500 for 40 years. --Coolcaesar (talk) 05:28, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Merger proposal

I propose that Proposed acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney be merged into The Walt Disney Company. I think that the content in the Proposed Acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney article can easily be explained in the context of The Walt Disney Company, and The Walt Disney Company article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Proposed acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney will not cause problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. AdamDeanHall (talk) 00:00, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

Deny As far this acquisition goes, it's still an ongoing process that has to be approved by regulators. Alongside this, the content regarding the Proposed acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney has enough content to warrant it being a standalone article. And let's say that the acquisition is ultimately approved, we don't know how the 21st Century Fox assets are going to be integrated into The Walt Disney Company anyway. Protected edit request on 17 April 2018

In the article's opening description, the last line reads "Mickey Mouse, a cartoon created in 1928, is a primary symbol and mascot for Disney."

While technically Mickey Mouse is indeed a cartoon (the Wiki article for cartoon states "the modern usage usually refers to either: an image or series of images intended for satire, caricature, or humor"), the sentence seems awkward and can easily be made clearer by CHANGING "cartoon" TO "cartoon character".

It may be a trivial point, as there is no motion picture or animated short entitled "Mickey Mouse" which could be confused for the character itself. However, Mickey Mouse's first appearance was in animated form and not as a still image.

Just my anal-retentive self being, well, anal-retentive. Any thoughts? Howieblitzer 21:08, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Not done for now. This seems like slightly more than a minor change, so getting consensus before making the request would be better. TonyBallioni (talk) 21:33, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Disney Revival Era

Disney Revival Era does not seem as though it should have its own page. I propose merging it with the main Disney article. Thoughts? Jmertel23 (talk) 16:51, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

I've boldly merged it. The editor whose username is Z0 14:26, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Walt Disney Studio and Walt Disney Productions

It was 1926 when Disney Brothers Cartoon Studios became Walt Disney Studio and 1929 when it came Walt Disney Productions. --Evope (talk) 02:34, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Need photo of Disney at a young age

I think that the editor should include a picture of Disney at a young age. Particulary, an age between 15 to 25, when he first started is career. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.33.77.186 (talk) 18:24, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

New Disney

holding company fo rdisney/fox. but this phrase is a redirect to this article, but no mention or reference for it in article. please add a reference, and esp. why that name. it may be a sort of a nod to fox somehow.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 02:30, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Income statement

None of the info on the far left panel regarding their income, employees, etc are accurate. The source used is terrible when you can pull the data filed with the SEC straight from nasdaq at https://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/dis/financials?query=income-statement Am i missing something or all that data being misreported here? 2600:6C54:7900:D4D:0:B6B9:3B83:D959 (talk) 08:07, 9 August 2018 (UTC)T

Great Idea but there are two problems I see with this

1) You should have either posted this on one of the talk pages for those parks.

2) These Talk pages are not discusiion forums for these topics for you to discuss this on. If you want to suggest something like this to the Disney community please use either reddit [1], WDW Magic forums [2] and/or Disboards [3]. I have an honorable mention which is Disney wiki [4] but i'm not sure if they have a forum discussion or not.
