An accurate version for future reference[edit]

I just started watching this article, and I don't have the book. I notice there are a lot of changes made to the list, which shouldn't be. I was wondering if someone with the book could either add the top 100 list, or at least the top ten, to the talk page, or locate a diff wherein the list is entirely accurate, so that it will always be clear what should be where when reverting changes. top ten are as follows
  • 10. Black Sabbath - Iron Man
  • 9. AC/DC - Back in Black
  • 8. Black Sabbath - War Pigs
  • 7. Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy Name
  • 6. Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
  • 5. Slayer - Angel of Death
  • 4. Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train
  • 3. Motorhead - Ace of Spades
  • 2. Metallica - Master of Puppets
  • 1. Black Sabbath - Paranoid

im cutting the list down to the top tenД narchistPig (talk) 04:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have the book, so I don't know if the list here is in descending order to correspond with the book, but I'm going to put it in ascending order anyway, to avoid confusion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.241.218.107 (talk) 10:21, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
i dont know which is which but for the record the books begins with number one and ends with 500 (Astronomy by Blue Oyster Cult for what its worth)Д narchistPig (talk) 23:53, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Source?[edit]

Does anyone actually own a copy of this book? I've noticed this list has gone from 100 songs to 10 and their is no source to backup whether any of the songs were in book? Can someone clean this thing up? Rockgenre (talk) 04:05, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, i own a copy. And i cut the list down from 100 to 10 because the larger list was too tempting for vandals adding their favorite songs. As for wheter or not there is an internet source, i havent been able to find one.Д narchistPig (talk) 20:59, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, it would be good for you then to put a reference section on the bottom of the page and and show the pages where the songs are featured(and I'm just curious here, by any chance do you own another Martin Popoff book titled, The 100 Heaviest Obscurities of the '70s.) fair use[edit]

Per a question about fair use at help desk, I replaced the full list with the top ten. —valereee (talk) 15:34, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
