"The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens" - title should be in italics
"that was limited in scope by the single reel format" - what does this mean? Was the film shortened in length due to the reel or is this referring to Dickens' novel?
"The film focuses on the grandfather who gambles into poverty" - would sound clearer as The film focuses on a grandfather who gambles himself into poverty
"The surviving status of this film likely means that an more in-depth" - a
" In 2012, the work was confirmed to be a Thanhouser" - this didn't make sense to me the first time. Should it read In 2012, the work was confirmed to be a Thanhouser production??
"The film is a condensed adaptation of Dicken's work" - Dickens'
"The film was promoted by the Thanhouser as a film" - "the Thanhouser Company"?
"that every Dicken's lover would enjoy" - again Dickens'
