Initial comments[edit]

  • "The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens" - title should be in italics
  • "that was limited in scope by the single reel format" - what does this mean? Was the film shortened in length due to the reel or is this referring to Dickens' novel?
  • "The film focuses on the grandfather who gambles into poverty" - would sound clearer as The film focuses on a grandfather who gambles himself into poverty
  • "The surviving status of this film likely means that an more in-depth" - a
  • " In 2012, the work was confirmed to be a Thanhouser" - this didn't make sense to me the first time. Should it read In 2012, the work was confirmed to be a Thanhouser production??
  • "The film is a condensed adaptation of Dicken's work" - Dickens'
  • "The film was promoted by the Thanhouser as a film" - "the Thanhouser Company"?
  • "that every Dicken's lover would enjoy" - again Dickens'

On hold[edit]

Sorry for the delay in reviewing this. I have a FAC, four GANs and two other reviews to do all at once! I noticed a shortage of references but with all things considered, this should be fine if all of the above are clarified. JAGUAR  21:14, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaguar: All set. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 15:03, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, this should be good to go now. I have limited internet access at the moment but once it's stable I can begin reviewing more. JAGUAR  15:57, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
