The US and the Exchequer Chamber?[edit]

I am looking for some information on how this Act affected the united States for America. The Act appears to have converted the united States courts into an Exchequer Chamber. This seems to be evident in that lawyers and attorneys are Esquires not Personal Representatives of the people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.33.162.121 (talk) 15:19, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Effects other than on House of Lords?[edit]

This article, as it presently stands, is merely about one aspect of the Judicature Act of 1873, viz., the projected abolition of the appellate jurisdiction of the House of Lords for England and Wales. It should either be renamed accordingly, or be expanded to comprise—beyond a mere mention—the act's full effects, such as abolition of the Court of King's Bench, and the establishment of the High Court and Court of Appeal.
