In "Screen persona and reception" content, it is mentioned Marilyn Monroe was associated with "white ethnics". It gives Arthur Miller as an example but writes "Jewish" as his ethnicity. Miller is white, an Ashkenazi jew to be exact. Writing "Jewish" isn't enough as the majority of jews have Mizrahi ancestry (jews with middle eastern, north African and central Asian ancestry). This tiny correction can help acknowledge the existence of Mizrahi jews which keeps being ignored. 2A0D:6FC2:4201:1700:C080:A63C:CDF2:FDCA (talk) 15:31, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure why my edit has been reverted. The lead doesn’t mention Monroe's singing career. MOS:ROLEBIO says, "In general, a position, activity, or role should not be included in the lead paragraph if: a) the role is not otherwise discussed in the lead (per MOS:LEAD, don’t tease the reader) ..." I find no justification of any kind via those links for this reversal, and the "a) ..." part seems to be free fantasy. Monroe is highly notable as a singer with not just one but several more very famous songs in her recorded repertoir. That's enough to call her a singer in the short here. I will revert this again unless someone can come up with a clearly defined, clearly linked guideline showing that I shouldn't. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 12:07, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
