I propose that Hong Gildong (character) be merged into Hong Gildong jeon. Hong Gildong (the character) derives primarily from Hong Gildong jeon, and so any information on the two should coincide. The character page is more substantial in terms of the character's legacy beyond the book, but that information can also be considered the book's legacy. The information on both pages similar, and could be combined to create a more substantial, useful page on the book and its character.170.171.1.37 (talk) 15:02, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Is "jeon" supposed to be lower case? I'm not sure what's technically correct, but I suspect it should be capitalized too as per title casing toobigtokale (talk) 01:11, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Or you can just join everything, i.e. "Honggildongjeon". Given that it's a title of a literary work, it's no longer a personal name. 220.124.194.99 (talk) 01:04, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For future readers, my current understanding is that the lower case is fine (Korean works tend to be romanized in sentence casing), and joining everything may also be acceptable. However, what we do depends on WP:COMMONNAME. toobigtokale (talk) 02:04, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
