Personality & Controversy[edit]

Do we actually need three paragraphs explaining fan comments on his mental state and love life? I mean, the first paragraph fits perfectly but the others just feel out of place. I'd take it out, but more than likely I'm not sure if it's legal.

Whatever, I'm removing the parts I feel do not add to the article. When you find actual sources and not just 'speculation' and what fans would want. Ban me if you want but this is ridiculous.

Syphiel[edit]

How come there's no mention of Sylphiel, a recurring character whom Gourry grew up with (and who apparently has a crush on him)?

There's no indication in the manga or anime that Gourry grew up with Syphiel. Evidence of this is the fact that Syphiel's father has a well-established position in Sairaag (I'm not certain if this is consistent with the novels). There is a history between the two characters, but so little information is known, it hardly seems worth including on this page. Additionally, in typical Gourry-fashion, he doesn't remember anything about Sylphiel aside from her cooking. Therefore, I think any references to Sylphiel's history with Gourry would be more appropriate on her page.

Regarding the issue of the crush, this was apparently resolved by the events at the end of Next. In Revolution/Evolution-R, Sylphiel shows no romantic interest in Gourry. If a mention of the crush is edited in, it should probably be limited to Syphiel's actions in the middle of Slayers: Next. 174.51.182.171 (talk) 06:21, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
