Revision made by DFRussia undone. DFR's claim that 'The paper references is uncited suggesting it is not an important one in Poli Sci right now' is a lie, because the paper reference is properly provided as 'Golosov, Grigorii V. (2010): The Effective Number of Parties: A New Approach. Party Politics 16:171-192.' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.205.250.52 (talk) 21:55, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Needed text[edit]

The text of this article needs to explain why one might prefer the Laakso-Taagepera or the Golosov indexes. Also, to my knowledge, most researchers rely on the former index; although the Golosov one may be better for some purposes, this needs to be explained and justified in this article, not just in the referenced paper by Golosov.~Mack2~ (talk) 13:00, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Political groups of the European Parliament[edit]

It would be interesting to calculate this for the political groups of the European Parliament. Kaihsu (talk) 10:24, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
