Theano Didot[edit]
Could someone include a section on Theano Didot? If you do , could you add a link to the section within Template:Free and open-source typography? -- 12.218.76.10 (talk) 10:23, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Couple of changes[edit]
I'd just like to warn about a couple of misconceptions people have about Didone fonts:
- Dazzle happens particularly in fonts not intended to be used at small print sizes. Century Schoolbook is an example of a Didone font with the basic Didone structure, but beefed up for use in body text. It's not a flaw in early digital fonts so much as by people using them for a purpose they weren't intended for. (Most Didot digitisations intended for body text cost - often a lot- but Libre Bodoni, Computer Modern and versions of Century Schoolbook are free but in the same basic genre for the experimenter.)
