The common name is Dhu Shanatir per Google Books see [1] and [2]. Also Zu Shenatir is a weird spelling and seems like a mispronunciation of his name also the sources that use Zu Shenatir dont give an account about him but mostly about his crimes which are notable because they think he is one of the first serial killers.--SharabSalam (talk) 20:58, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The account of this man's life comes from Ibn Ishaq's biography of Muhammad's life (and there are no earlier accounts that are referenced in the works cited in this article), where no mention of him killing boys in the manner described is made (neither in the recensions of Ibn Hisham or al-Tabari). Encyclopedia of Homosexuality includes the detail that he was stabbed in the anus, which was in fact removed from this page and is not found in Ibn Ishaq's account either. -Krusifikcija (talk) 09:10, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Having just consulted the source it appears that you are correct. For clarification, Page 13 describes that he sexually abused young boys until one of his intended victims killed him but makes no mention of him killing his victims afterwards. In fact, it says that the victims were released afterwards with a toothpick in their mouths so that all would know how they had been disgraced. Tulzscha (talk) 14:14, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
