Why is he not the Deputy Premier[edit]

Since the Nationals are members of the Barnett Liberal-led Government why isn't Grylls the Deputy Premier?--The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 02:52, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's not a coalition, it's an "alliance" of the Liberals, Nationals and two independents. The idea was that the Nationals would not "be in" the government but would "assist" the government on issues of importance to rural people. I know, I think it's odd too.
