Proposed merge with VBRG[edit]

Two articles about the same vehicle dawkeye (talk) 19:02, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose merge. VBRG is the Gendarmerie's name for several different vehicles of which one is the VXB-170 and the other is the VAB Additionally the VXB-170 was utilized by others.

Contributors need to provide references and to enable communication[edit]

Hello to all. If you look at the article's history, you will notice that 3 contributions have been made recently to modify a sentence that I wrote. The only comments are : Error temporal (twice) and Temporal mistake. No reference is provided and the 3 contributors, Dertarlom, Passartroner and Lonelyspace, have not enabled their respective "Talk" page. Dertarlom and Passartroner have each made only this one modification since joining Wikipedia.

The question is : was the vehicle designed in the 1950s. Obviously the answer is no since the VXB used components of trucks and busses marketed in the late sixties and was put in production in the early seventies. Now, some internet sites and publications also mention a "project BL-12" which may have been a 1950s project and may have also been used for some components but no one provides any reference with firm dates.

In the absence of a clear reference, I have tried to modify the sentence I initially wrote in order to make it less contentious but to no avail. Although I wouldn't use the term vandalism at this stage , I think contributors Dertarlom, Passartroner and Lonelyspace do not conform to the rules we all try to respect. I would expect a discussion here on this talk page.

I am reverting, hopefully for the last lime, the last of these contributions and notifying an administrator.
