Lawal Mohammed Pedro, SAN (born October 6, 1961) is a Nigerian lawyer, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State.

Early Life: Born to the Libento Pedro and Ojitikuambose branch of the Akinsemoyin royal family in Lagos Island, he attended Ahmadiyya College later renamed AnwarUI-Islam Model College, Agege, Lagos but obtained the West African School Certificate at Methodist Boys High School, Lagos before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Law.

Professional career: He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. After a stint in private legal practice, he joined the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in 1987 as State Counsel. He was head of many directorates in the Ministry at different times and was appointed Solicitor-General and Permanent in 2008. The Legal Practitioners' Privileges Committee conferred on him Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2008. He was lead prosecution counsel in the trial of Major Hamza Al-Mustapha over the death of Kudirat Abiola, wife of late Moshood Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 Presidential election. He retired from Civil Service in 2015 and joined private practice at Lawal Pedro & Associates as a Principal Partner. He was appointed Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in 2023.

Personal Life: Pedro is married with children and grandchildren.
