John M. F. Colton (Born May 31, 1985) is an American short fiction author, spoken word poet, and occultist from Butte, Montana.

Career[edit]

John M. F. Colton's writing style is best described as cosmic hope meets comedic horror. His first published short story "The Forgotten" from Weird Fiction Quarterly - Winter 2024: Monsters shines through with his unusual sense of humor and creature description, while his follow up, "Stations" from Weird Fiction Quarterly - Spring 2024: Folk Horror deals with themes of possession.

His best recieved work is a spoken piece called "Home" that is rumored to be about his mother's failing health. The piece has been performed twice and is said to be hauntingly beautiful.

Personal Life[edit]

Little is known about his personal life as he is a mostly enigmatic individual who was rumored to have died three times.
