This category is for articles about people of Finnish descent—whether partial or full—who lived and worked in the territories of the Russian Empire (1721–1917) other than in the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland (1809–1917). Before the 1917 revolution, their population was approx. over 400,000[1].
