DescriptionHutchinson Memorial Chapel of the Holy Innocents, Buffalo, New York - 20200506.jpg
English: The former Hutchinson Memorial Chapel of the Holy Innocents, 825 Busti Avenue at Rhode Island Street, Buffalo, New York, May 2020. The last remaining remnant of the seven-acre Episcopal Church Home complex, a home for the aged and inform and a longstanding presence in the Prospect Hill neighborhood that closed its doors in 2007 and was razed in 2015 to make way for an enlarged Peace Bridge entry plaza, the Gothic Revival-style chapel was designed in 1895 by architect W. H. Archer for benefactor Edward Howard Hutchinson, who donated it to the home in memory of his parents. It was named a Buffalo city landmark in 1980, and the Peace Bridge Authority reportedly intends to preserve the building and incorporate it into the plaza complex.
